Just south of the map below, Santa Monica ends and Venice begins. To the north, a five-minute bus ride or a quick drive will take you to the Third Street Promenade, a pedestrian-only shopping area.
The freeway is a few blocks north of the house, off 4th St., and leads to many other Los Angeles tourist attractions.
The house is in a unique neighborhood comprised of apartments, condominiums and old and new houses. People here know each other and stop to chat on the street.

Driving Directions from LAX
From LAX, follow the signs to Sepulveda Blvd. North.
Once on Sepulveda Blvd., stay in the left lane and veer left onto Lincoln Blvd.
Stay on Lincoln Blvd. for about five miles.
Turn left on Washington Blvd.
Turn right on Abbot Kinney Blvd. (the first right).
At the end of Abbot Kinney, turn right onto Main St.
Turn right onto Hill St.
Hill Street Cottage is behind the blue house on your left, between 3rd St. and 4th St.
